I WANTED TO BOOK A PACKAGE OFFERED BY A RESORT ON CAYMAN BRAC THAT INCLUDED ROOM, 3 MEALS A DAY, 17 SCUBA DIVES AND OTHER GOODIES. I THINK THE PHONE CENTER WAS IN INDIA BECAUSE THE AGENT SPOKE IN ACCENTED ENGLISH AND WAS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND AND HAD TO REPEAT THINGS SEVERAL TIMES. ( A SUBSEQUENT CALL ALSO INVOLVED A MAN WITH THE SAME ACCENT.) AFTER CONVERSING WITH HER FOR AN HOUR OR MORE MY BRAIN WAS FRIED.
HOWEVER, I MADE IT CLEAR TO HER THE NAME OF THE PACKAGE I WANTED
FOR MY DAUGHTER AND ME NUMEROUS TIMES. SHE WENT OFF AIR SEVERAL TIME TO SPEAK WITH THE RESORT, I THOUGHT. A PHONE CALL TO THE RESORT SHOWED THAT SHE WAS TALKING TO EXPEDIA.COM AND NOT THE RESORT AND THAT THE PACKAGE WAS NOT OFFERED THROUGH EXPEDIA.
THE FINAL PRICE THE AGENT QUOTED WAS GREAT, IF IT WERE FOR THE FULL PACKAGE. SHE DID NOT TELL ME IT WAS FOR THE ROOM ONLY. I ASKED HER SEVERAL TIMES TO CONFIRM THAT THE PRICE INCLUDED THE PACKAGE. SHE MISLED ME INTO BELIEVING THAT IT DID.
I WILL NOW INCUR ADDITIONAL EXPENSE AS MUCH AS $3000.00 TO GET THINGS RIGHT.
I AM FAXING THIS TO FAREPORAL FOR REDRESS AND IF IT IS NOT SATISFACTORY, I WILL SUE IN FLORIDA SMALL CLAIMS COURT. I HOPE THIS DOES NOT BECOME NECESSAY BECAUSE THIS WOULD INCLUDE ADDITIONAL COSTS. FAX:212-478-****.
